Gorgonzola Mountain


A pasteurized cow's milk cheese made only in Lombardy and Piedmont in Northern Italy, Aged Mountain Gorgonzola is considered to be the original Gorgonzola. It is semi-creamy with a strong flavor and its bluish-green veining provides a distinctive piquant taste. Mountain Gorgonzola has a crumbly, dry texture and strong blue flavor that's made to be enjoyed with fruit and sweet wines. It is also ideal on crusty bread and can be used as a creamy pasta sauce, in risotto or as a pizza topping.
