Parmesan Grana Padana


Grana Padano, made throughout the Po Valley region, has a thin, shiny gold rind. The paste has a granular texture and it can be sliced when young and a deep yellow color which darkens with age. The flavor is excellent, mellow, and intense. Grana cheeses are traditionally shredded and used as a condiment. Grana Padano is a name controlled cheese, and bears a clover-leaf brand as its genuine identifying mark. This quarter wheel is available as a 15-pounder.
