A Helpful Cutting Guide for Cheese


First and foremost, make sure you have the proper cutting tools to insure a clean cut. A cheese wire or cheese cutter is recommended. In a pinch, a sharp knife will do the trick. The art of cheese cutting is actually rooted in geometry. If the original production of the cheese follows the geometric rules regarding round, angular, conical, spherical and cylindrical shapes, then the cutting direction should adhere to these forms as well.
