Seacrest Foods International, Inc. is proud to serve as the exclusive Northeast Distributor for Old Chatham Sheepherding Company, the largest sheep dairy farm in the country. Located in New York's Hudson River Valley, the farm began in 1994 with a flock of 150 sheep. There are now more than 1200 East Fresian crossbred sheep grazing on 600 acres of pastures.

Sheep on the farm graze on lush organically managed pastures, and are fed whole grains and hay from the farm, producing the best quality grade A milk. Milked twice a day in a custom milking parlor, each ewe yields about 1 1/2 quarts of sweet flavored, naturally homogenized milk.


In the state-of-the-art creamery, Old Chatham's experienced cheese makers skillfully turn small batches of fresh milk into a variety of handcrafted artisan cheeses and yogurts. The milk is pasteurized; culture and vegetable rennet transform the milk into curds and whey. Soft ripened cheeses are put in a salt brine bath, then carefully removed and transferred onto racks for curing. The cheeses are turned daily allowing each piece to cure evenly. Some cheeses are cured for several days while others take a few weeks. Each piece of cheese is hand wrapped in special paper and labeled with the distinctive black sheep logo.

Ewe's Blue is a luscious creamy blue cheese made with 100% sheep's milk. Sold as a 4-5 pound wheel. Feta is creamy and smooth, made from 100% fresh sheep's milk and packed in salt brine. Feta is an American Cheese Sociery 1st Place winner.

Fresh "Sheep Cheese" is a fresh, smooth spreadable cheese made from pure sheep's milk with a clean, tangy flavor. Garlic & Herb "Sheep Cheese" is made from fresh shee's milk cheese and whipped with a blend of fresh herbs and garlic. Fresh Ricotta is light and fresh with a sweet flavor - an excellent cooking ingredient. Sheep and cow's milk blend.

Hudson Valley Camembert's beautiful white edible rind highlights this unique square shaped, soft-ripened cheese with a lovely cream-colored interior, exquisite buttery flavor and silky texture. A combination of sheep's milk and the neighbor's BGH-free cow's milk is used to create this multi-award winner. Best of Class at World's. Available in an 8oz square, a one pound wheel (Nancy's Hudson Valley Camembert), and a four-pound wheel (Tom's Hudson Valley Camembert).

Shepherd's Wheel: This soft ripened pure sheep's milk cheese has a mild flavor & nutty finish. The Shepherd's Wheel is three to four pounds, while the Mini Wheel is a 12-14 ounce version of the original. Soft-ripened and made from 100% sheep's milk.


Pepper Pyramid is a soft ripened pure sheep's milk cheese with pepper flavor that permeates the start and finish. Mutton Button, a small pure sheep's milk soft ripened cheese disc aged to perfection, is available wrapped and unwrapped. Mutton Button has a nutty flavor with earth tones.

Whole Sheep's Milk Yogurt: The creamiest you've ever tasted. Old Chatham Sheepherding features a yogurt with a clean flavor and a slight tang.  Available in Plain and Maple.  This sheep's milk product is produced in 12/6 oz and 6/16 oz packs.
